healing happens in harmony.
the human behind the healing
THERAPY, COACHING
Erin S. Mason, M.S. MHC-LP
hi, I’m Erin — a New York City native of Caribbean descent, a proud LGBTQIA+ identifying woman, and a pre-licensed psychotherapist with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University.
i became a therapist because i know what it’s like to sit with big feelings and not always know where to place them. healing isn’t something i studied from a distance — it’s something i lived through. i believe that when people are given the right tools, support, and space to feel their truth, transformation becomes possible. it’s this belief — rooted in both personal experience and professional training — that drives the work i do every day.
i’m passionate about helping others return to themselves: to what feels true, grounded, embodied, and free. i also bring joy, depth, warmth, and realness into the work. therapy with me can hold both laughter and tears. we move at your pace, but i’m with you the whole way.
when I’m not holding space, you can find me moving with — and being moved by — R&B and neo-soul, roller-skating in local rinks, standing amongst fellow slam poets, or flowing through pole dance as a form of strength and expression. i love exploring the richness of NYC’s cultures and people, and you’ll often find me steeping a fresh cup from my ever-growing apothecary of herbal teas.
i’m so glad you’re here. when you’re ready, i’d be honored to walk with you.
present & attuned: my style of care
my work is guided by deep presence, care, and curiosity. i show up as an intuitive and emotionally attuned therapist who believes that healing happens in spaces where we feel safe enough to be seen and soft enough to be ourselves. every session is a co-creation — tailored to your lived experience, your identity, and your emotional truth in that moment.
i offer holistic, trauma-informed care that integrates Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and somatic practices to support healing on every level — mind, body, and spirit. my spiritual path informs how i hold space — with reverence, compassion, and trust in the deeper unfolding of each person’s journey. while therapy sessions are client-centered and not religious in nature, I’m open to integrating faith or spiritual exploration when it aligns with your needs.
as a culturally sensitive and integrative practitioner, i honor the ways our environments, lineages, and relationships have shaped us. my style blends structure with soul. depending on your needs, our work might include:
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to help process and move through emotions with compassion
mindfulness (MBSR) and somatic practices to build body awareness and present-moment safety
cognitive and dialectical strategies (CBT & DBT) for emotional regulation and skill-building
a relational, strengths-based lens that centers your autonomy, dignity, and growth
i don’t believe in one-size-fits-all healing. what i bring into the room — my energy, presence, and tools — is always attuned to you.

client reviews
“Erin has a calming presence and thoughtful approach while incorporating practices and exercises that have helped me understand myself more wholly... This has been my first therapy experience where I feel I am being allowed the space to explore my emotions rather than feeling like a quick weekly check-in. Erin is a wonderful listener who is willing to walk with you through difficult emotions/experiences in a comforting and supportive manner. I never feel that assumptions of my experiences and emotions are imposed upon me -- instead it feels like a journey of connective reflection and self-discovery that we work through together.”
— Cassandra R.
“My time with Erin has been transformative. What has felt most meaningful is how she has helped me understand the connection between my thoughts and feelings, giving me the tools to communicate them clearly instead of suppressing them. This work has directly supported my growth by allowing me to communicate healthier boundaries, and embrace vulnerability. I would recommend Erin to anyone seeking a therapist who is both insightful and genuinely caring. Her ability to provide a safe space while gently challenging me to grow has been invaluable to my time in therapy.”
— Kelly S.
“My experience so far has been incredible. Erin's ability to make me feel safe enough to be vulnerable is truly special. She remembers every detail, and that means a lot to me. Therapy has been a powerful part of my healing journey, it’s helped me look inward and understand the experiences that shape my actions, while also learning to extend grace to myself. I would wholeheartedly recommend Erin to anyone, at any stage of life. That’s how impactful she’s been for me. When people genuinely love what they do, it shows, and Erin is living proof of that.”
